Five Things to do Thanksgiving Weekend in Grand Junction

When Thanksgiving Day is over, and your refrigerator is fully stocked with left overs, it is time to think about some fun activities and event to do over the holiday weekend. Here are five activities in and around Grand Junction this weekend.
On Saturday November 24th come out for the Art and Chocolate Walk in Downtown Palisade. This is the tenth annual event with many local businesses offering up unique and fun holiday gifts and of course lots of free chocolate. Some participating stores include The Blue Pig, A Country Cupboard, Craig Gallery, and Everything Collectible. This is a free event and fun for everyone in the family. Saturday get a big head start on your holiday shopping at the Two Rivers Convention Center Holiday Craft Show located at the Two Rivers Convention Center from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Over 70 local vendors will be on site offering handmade home décor, bath and body products, crocheting, spices and so much more. Tickets are $5 a person with children 12 years and younger getting in for free. Enjoy concession stands and even a visit from Santa!
Saturday at the Margery Ballroom in Grand Junction come out for the Community Contra Dance from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. This is a fun community event for all ages and will live jazz and Celtic music dances taught by a caller. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for students, and $5 for kids age 5 to 17.
Saturday night from 7:00pm until 9:00pm come out and watch the CMU Athletics Men’s Basketball vs Fisher College play at Colorado Mesa University.
