Men in Heels
Posted: September 12, 2018 by Rhonda Bever
The much-anticipated Men in Heels Race is happening on Thursday September 13th at 5:30pm. This race will be held downtown on Colorado Avenue during the last Farmers Market of this season and is sponsored by Alpine Bank. This is an annual event now in it’s 9th year that benefits Hilltop’s Latimer House and Domestic Violence Services. The Latimer House helps to provide emergency shelter and services to victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
This race began initially with six teams and now there are 27 including the friendly rivalry between the Sheriff’s Office and the Police Department. Seeing grown men race down the street is not something one is likely to see very often so you will not want to miss this!
Come and see hundreds of men put on high heels and race for a very worthy cause. If you are not able to come out and support this event in person, please visit Men in Heels to donate to your favorite team and watch the race on Fox4 News at 5:30pm. Last year over $25,000 was raised and this year promises to do even better.
